March 2017 Newsletter

Library News:

As a result of low staff, the city council has made the decision to temporarily close the city library. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Winter weather:

As a reminder to please keep the streets cleared during the winter months to allow for the plows to pass through the streets and get them cleaned off properly.

Dog Licenses:

Due to reoccurring problems with a few dogs in town, the city council would like to remind residents that if you have a dog or multiple dogs, each pet must have a valid dog license.

The City of Kilkenny requires that your dog have a license as soon as it is six months old. All dogs within the City shall be vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian for Rabies. Licenses are inexpensive, easy to get, and good for your dog. License applications can be picked up at the First National Bank ( Kilkenny Branch), contacting the city office, or printed out from the city website www.kilkennymn.com.

Licenses are good for the calendar year. One application per dog. $5 processing fee for each application.

**Application is on the reverse side of this newsletter. If you have not already done so, please fill out and send back for each dog you or your family has.

City Office Hours
As of now, cancelations of city offices hours are still in effect. If you have questions please call the city office at 507-595-3999 and leave a message, someone will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
