Now Hiring—Kilkenny City Administrator


The City of Kilkenny is seeking a City Administrator. The position is a permanent part-time position that requires regular attendance at City Council meetings, preparation of meeting minutes, and requires the keeping of the City’s office open for 12 hours each week for two or three days each week. The candidate must have good interpersonal skills, be effective in dealing with the public, and be willing to learn Kilkenny’s City Code and implement it. The City Administrator oversees the essential operations of the City’s business and works closely with the City Council in implementing policy that benefits the citizens of the City of Kilkenny. Drinking Water Report

The City of Kilkenny is issuing the results of monitoring done on its drinking water for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2014. The purpose of this report is to advance consumers’ understanding of drinking water and heighten awareness of the need to protect precious water resources. CLICK HERE to download report.



NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City of Kilkenny in Le Sueur County will meet at the Kilkenny City Hall/Library, at 7:00 p.m. on Monday the 25th day of August, 2015 for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the budget for the year 2016.

Special Meeting Notice

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City of Kilkenny in Le Sueur County will meet at the Kilkenny Public Library, at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, the  30th of July for the purpose of discussing the city’s mosquito problem.

Kilkenny Library News

The library is welcoming back the Summer Reading Program this summer! Free to ages 2-15 and runs until August 17th.

New extended library hours are Mondays 1-6 and Thursdays 11-4 for all of months June, July and August.

Library Fun Day will return the 3rd Saturday of October. Thank and hope to everyone soon:)


Dog Licenses Due


License applications can be picked up at the First National Bank (Kilkenny Branch) or by contacting the city office.

Completed applications (one per dog), along with a copy of up to date rabies vaccinations and $5.00/per dog can be mailed to: City of Kilkenny, PO Box 135, Kilkenny, MN 56052
