SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City of Kilkenny in Le Sueur County will meet at the Kilkenny City Hall, at 6:30 p.m. on Monday the 11th day of June, 2012 for the purpose of reviewing the proposed city building code.

Kilkenny Kickball Tournament

Kilkenny will be holding a fund raising kickball tournament, open to anyone with a team of 9 players or more. 3 females must be playing at all times. Entry fee is $125 per team. Pre-registration is due at kilkennyparksandrec@hotmail.com with the name of your team and your players' names.

100% of proceeds go to the Kilkenny Parks and Recreations funds for the further building of our park and for community events such as summer and library programs for the children and family functions at the park.

Games will start Saturday, June 30th at 10:00 am and again Sunday, July 1st at 10:00 am; located at the Kilkenny's "Little Irishman's Park" which is behind the St. Canice Catholic Church.

There will be CASH PRIZES for the top 3 teams and a *BONUS* concessions prize for the team with the most supporting concessions buyers.

All entries and fees are due by Wednesday, June 20th.

Anyone and everyone are welcome to participate, watch and enjoy themselves! There will be plenty of concessions, beer and fun! There is no charge for onlookers to come and root on their favorite teams.

Please bring your chairs, cushions, blankets or anything to sit on.

Food and beverages are prohibited from the event; excluding team water coolers only.

Thank you for your support and donations, we hope to have a successful turnout to continue future tournaments.

NOTICE OF OFFICES TO BE VOTED FOR AT THE
2012 STATE GENERAL ELECTION
Le Sueur County, Minnesota

 

Notice is hereby given pursuant to provisions of Minnesota Statutes 204B.33(b) that a general election will be held in Le Sueur County on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices listed below. The filing period for President of the United States begins at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2012 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Filing period for all other offices begins on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Note: Filing offices will be closed Monday, May 28, 2012 in observance of Memorial Day and filing offices will be closed Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in observance of Independence Day.

Dog Licenses Due

The City of Kilkenny requires that your dog have a license as soon as it is six months old. All dogs within the City shall be vaccinated by a licensed veterinarian for Rabies.

License applications can be picked up at the First National Bank (Kilkenny Branch) or by contacting the city office.

Completed applications (one per dog), along with a copy of up to date rabies vaccinations and $5.00/per dog can be mailed to: City of Kilkenny, PO Box 135, Kilkenny, MN 56052

When: Second Monday of each month, except holidays.
Time: 7:30 p.m.

January 9, February 13, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13, September 10, **Tuesday, October 16, **Tuesday, November 13 and December 10

Additional special meetings may also be held throughout the year. Advance notice will be given when possible.
