Kilkenny is a city in Le Sueur County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 148 at the 2000 census. It was named after the town and county of Kilkenny in Ireland.
As of the census of 2000, there were 148 people, 59 households, and 40 families residing in the city. There were 61 housing units at an average density of 497.0/sq mi (196.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 91.89% White, 2.03% Asian, 5.41% from other races, and 0.68% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.41% of the population.
There were 59 households out of which 30.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.2% were married couples living together, 8.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.2% were non-families. 28.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.51 and the average family size was 3.03.
